Sofa cleaning · Sharjah
We combine the HYLA water filtration system with steam up to 180°C, so upholstery, cushions and dining chairs get cleaned, not just refreshed on the surface. The air is drawn through a water bath, so what comes out stays in the tank instead of being blown back into the room.
Free and without obligation. No extra charges on the day.

Sofa cleaning in Sharjah with The Clean Fox starts with a fabric check and a hidden spot test, then HYLA water filtration lifts the dry dirt, steam at up to 180 °C goes over seams and surfaces, and extraction follows where the fabric allows. Fixed price on WhatsApp first.
Most of the result is decided before any water touches the fabric. The checks take a few minutes, and they are what separates a cleaned sofa from a shrunk, stained or rust marked one.
Our sequence on every sofa
The fibre decides how much water a sofa can take and how long it holds it. A wool or viscose sofa takes up many times the moisture of a polyester or olefin one under the same conditions, so the method has to be more careful and the drying takes longer.
Leather is a different job altogether. It is not extracted or steamed. The furniture industry standard calls for a pH neutral, water based product and a colourfastness test on every leather type. Aniline and nubuck are the sensitive ones: they fade under sunlight, so a leather sofa next to a big window shows it first. Sharjah is a coastal city, and the IICRC standard specifically suggests more frequent cleaning and conditioning of leather in coastal areas.
| Fibre | Moisture uptake | What it means for cleaning |
|---|---|---|
| Wool | Up to 30 % of its own weight | Careful method, longest drying |
| Cotton | Around 20 % | Watch for browning from the filling |
| Viscose | Around 20 %, loses up to 70 % of its strength when wet | As dry as possible, no rubbing |
| Olefin and polyester | Olefin below 0.1 % | Tolerates extraction well, dries fastest |

Longer in summer than in winter, and anyone who quotes you one figure for the whole year is quoting a template. The IICRC standard is explicit that drying time depends on the fibre, the fabric, the amount of moisture, and the temperature and humidity of the room.
Humidity here is the deciding factor. Hourly weather data for Dubai, right next door, shows the outdoor dew point above 24 °C in more than half of all hours in July, August and September (ERA5 reanalysis, 2015 to 2024). In those months a sofa dries slowly unless the room is cooled and the air moves.
So we use as little water as the fabric needs, and we tell you on the day what to do: AC on, a fan if you have one, cushions stood on edge, windows closed in the humid months, and how long to stay off it based on what we actually cleaned.
A family sofa collects juice, milk, food and the occasional accident, and the sooner it is dealt with, the better the odds. Dubai Municipality’s indoor air guideline advises drying liquid spills on porous materials within 24 hours. If a spill is older, or someone has already treated it with a household product, tell us, because that changes what we can use.
One honest warning about stains: some come back. The IICRC standard calls it wicking, when a stain deep in the filling rises to the surface again as the fabric dries, sometimes days later. If that happens, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we come back.
With children in the home, the sofa is rarely the only item. Children’s and baby mattresses, car seats, children’s seats, strollers and play mats can all be cleaned on the same visit. If there is a baby or a crawling toddler, tell us when you book and we plan the visit as our baby safe variant.
It cannot undo damage that is already in the material, and we would rather say so in advance.
Limits we tell you about before we start
By the piece and the work it needs: the number of seats, a corner sofa or a straight one, loose or fixed cushions, fabric or leather, and the condition. Send us a photo of the sofa and, if there is one, of the label. Mattresses, carpets, dining chairs or a full deep clean can be added to the same visit, and you get one fixed price on WhatsApp before we start.
Most customers book sofa cleaning as part of a wider deep clean, kitchen and bathroom included, sometimes with the AC on the same day. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we put together one appointment.

No. Many customers hand over a key or let us in and leave. You tell us how you prefer it when we agree the appointment.
The HYLA system and our steam machine both use very little water compared to shampooing, so fabric dries far quicker than after a wet-shampoo clean.
Yes, with the same steam machine, often booked together with sofa cleaning.
It depends on the fibre, how much moisture went in, and the temperature and humidity of the room. In the humid summer months it takes longer than in winter. We tell you on the day what to stay off and for how long, based on what we cleaned, and how to speed it up with the AC and air movement.
We do not, and we advise against it. The furniture industry standard says covers should not be removed and washed separately, whatever the fabric code. Covers can shrink or fade unevenly and then no longer fit or match the rest of the sofa. We clean them on the cushion.
Leather is a separate job: no steam and no extraction, but a pH neutral, water based product after a colourfastness test, as the industry standard specifies. Aniline and nubuck are the most sensitive. Send us a photo and tell us the leather type if you know it, and we tell you honestly what we can do.
Often the visible stain, yes, if we can reach it. What has soaked deep into the filling can rise again as the fabric dries, which the IICRC standard calls wicking. We tell you what we expect before we start, and if a stain comes back, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we return.
